Summer nails

Every year i end up spending about £50 on my finger & toe nails for my summer holiday's but this year,i put a stop to that and came up with a new way of getting long lasting summer nails for free! All you need is 2 of your favourite nail polishes and about 10 minutes of you time and that's it, it couldn't be easier!

First off, you need to paint your nails with the lightest shade as normal, give it a few coats for best results and wait until they've dried.Once they've fully dried then you are ready to move on to the second shade, this is where it gets a little tricky but all you need to do it paint half of the nail and give this a few more coats also. It really is not as tricky as it sounds and it gets a lot easier as you apply each coat! To finish the look add a layer of top coat ( i recommend deborah lippman umbrella waterproof top coat! works like a treat and makes the nail polish chip resistant) And voilà,you're done!

The colours i used to create this look are:
- Avon's Nailwear pro in the colour perfectly flesh
- Collection's 60 second hot looks in the colour Neon art

If you're recreating the look, please comment with the link! What's your favourite Summer nail look?
