BeautyBay Haul

Once Payday came through last week, I thought it was about time to tick some of the items off my BeautyBay Wishlist. I want to start off by saying how much I spent in total on this order, which was  £56.75. Now because I spent over a certain amount, my delivery was free and also arrived the next day (god bless BeautyBay). I think this total is super cheap compared to the quality of the items I bought.

Starting with the Morphe Lashes. These are products that have been on my Wish List for a while, I've never heard anyone of using them or reviewing them so I was on the fence about purchasing them. I didn't know if they'd be all plasticy and barbie like due to the low price (£1.50 - £2.75). But then I got thinking, if it turns out they're not the best quality, I only spent about £4 on them so it won't be the worst decision. So I ordered the ML76 Morphe Premium Lashes for £2.75 and the ML218 Premium Lashes for £1.50. I haven't tried the ML76 yet, however I have already had 2 uses out of ML218 Lashes and oh wow! They are just so amazing, the quality is just as good as Ardell and EyeLure but a fraction of the price. They don't feel cheap and plastic like at all and after 2 uses they're still in shape! I would highly recommend these, so affordable and such high quality.

Moving on to the St. Tropez Gradual Tan in Shower Lotion. I've never used fake tan properly, whenever i'm feeling pasty i'll use Garnier Gradual Tan just to brighten my skin up a bit. But when I saw that this was streak free / odour free and the application process was 3 minutes in the shower, I was dying to try it! This cost me £11.50 which is about double the price I usually pay for my Garnier Tan. I've used this 3 times since purchasing and my overall view is a bit 50/50. I still have my bikini tan lines from coming back from Gran Canaria about a month ago now, so maybe this is why i'm not seeing much of  difference. The only difference i've really noticed is in my arms and face, the rest of my body doesn't seem to have been affected. Saying that, i'm not streaky in the slightest, it really does look completely natural. However the whole "odour free" thing is not 100% true, after showering and getting in to bed I can smell that false tan biscuity smell still. I do think for the price, this isn't quite what it's lived up to be but if you're looking for something easy to apply and a gradual tan process, maybe give this a try.

The final product I purchased was the new Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I fell in love with this as soon as soon as it was released and was waiting for payday to come so I could finally own one for myself. The colours are out of my comfort zone, but they are exactly what i'm trying to wear more in my everyday look. I usually stick with neutrals but these colours are just so beautiful and easy to work into a everyday look. They are super pigmented too, I only have to dab my brush into the pan and thats all the product i'll need. The only flaw of this pallets is the brush it comes with, it has two sides, one that is create for packing on product and I love this side and use it daily, the other side is more of a blending brush and I find this scratchy and it malts like crazy! Not what I expected from ABH so I am disappointed with that. But overall, I love the palette and I am still in my experimental phase where I am messing round with different looks.

Would you guys like to see some of the looks i've been creating with this palette?

  6. At first I never liked the look of this palette, but it's been growing on me more and more. There's nothing more off putting than the horrible fake tan smell. I use a garnier gradual tan moisturizer and it smells like peaches? Not sure if its the same one you're talking about x

  8. I am so desperate for the ABH palette! I've heard bad things about the pigmentation though. I think I might try those eyelashes too, I'm not really an eyelash sort of person but for that price, I can't complain! xx

    1. Really? I think the pigmentation is great! I mean it doesn't have anything on Urban Decay's pigmentation but I still love it! No, I wear eyelashes when i'm going out or when i'm testing out a product but these really impressed me
